JUSTIN SANDERS WINS THE DAVE BRADWAY JR MEMORIAL AT SILVER DOLLAR SPEEDWAY

CHICO, CA (5/9/26) A season best 29 cars signed in on Saturday night for the 35th Dave Bradway Jr Memorial at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, CA for NARC King of the West’s first appearance of the year at the northern California bullring.

After getting upside down on Friday’s Champions Classic at Silver Dollar Speedway, Dylan Bloomfield’s fortunes quickly turned as he set fast time in ARP Qualifying with a lap of 11.435 seconds.

DJ Netto started off heat race action by picking up the win in Kaeding Performance Heat Race #1, his 3rd heat race win of the year. Brad Sweet won BMRS Heat Race #2 in the Works Ltd W car. Fresh off his 1st career Sprint Car win in April, Max Mittry stayed hot and won Hill’s Premium Meats Heat Race #3. Silver Dollar Speedway Promoter, Colby Copeland, picked up his 2nd Heat Race win of the year in Heat Race #4.

The three Heat Race winners and fastest transfer cars out of each Heat Race locked into the 6-lap HD Titanium Dash. Max Mittry won the HD Titanium Dash from the pole to earn himself the pole of the $10,000 to win Dave Bradway Jr Memorial.

Mittry would lead the opening lap of the 40-lap $10,000 to win A-Main. Dylan Bloomfield would utilize the high side of turns 1 and 2 to get around Mittry to take the lead on the 2nd lap. Bloomfield would spin off turn 2 on lap 4, bringing out a yellow flag and Mittry inherited the lead. Mittry led through lapped traffic until lap 16 would his teammate Justin Sanders would shoot around him in turns 1 and 2 when Mittry got pinned on the bottom of the track in traffic. Sanders controlled the final 24 circuits on the way to picking up his 3rd NARC King of the West victory of the 2026 season. It was also his 3rd victory in the Dave Bradway Jr Memorial and his 33rd career NARC King of the West triumph. Brad Sweet 2nd and DJ Netto 3rd.

Sean Becker went 21st to 6th, earning FK Rod Ends Hard Charger award honors and an extra $400 courtesy of Racing for Babies and Jim and Carol Allen.

The NARC King of the West Sprint cars return to action on Saturday May 16th at Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, CA.
